Freud stopped making the Avanti series in June 2009 because it had too much overlap with the Diablo series.  It was always made in Italy, and was always good quality for the price.  The current Avanti line is cheaply made in better than a typical stock blade IMO.  If it doesn't say "Freud" Avanti, I wouldn't bother.
