Minus a little smoothing and painting, the chair is finished.

This is really comfortable, and the wife approves.  My critiques are that the feet seem a little clunky so I may slim them down a little, maybe a 1/8" or so off the bottom dimensions.

Just noticed you went with the through tenons on the undercarriage...looks nice. Great job, thanks again for sharing. Three more for a set or what?!!

Big problem in little china

The crest developed a split. Guess I left the tenon a bit too big. In the future, I will trim them down a little more. This was not a moisture issue as the wood has been air drying for almost 2 years.

Not all is lost. This chair is still a keeper, and I may simply leave it as is, or fill with epoxy before painting.
