Jessem Mast-R-Slide on shaper?
#4
Has anyone installed a Jessem Mast-R-slide on a shaper?  I have a Powermatic 26 and vintage Delta 4 foot shaper that I could put it on.  I am concerned that the sliding table is too far away from the spindle as most sliding table shapers have the sliding table near the spindle.

I tried it

too much slop too far away to keep it accurate you also cannot clamp stock down close enough to the spindle to control it safely

Build a coping sled ,  way better

Thanks Joe, figured as much.  I have a coping sled since I don't have room to use the sliding table in my current shop.
