Planes like that are lovely, as long as they don't warp. I owned one that was so twisted in its length it could have been used to shape airplane propellers.

You would have to do some research to determine the date of manufacture on the transitionals. I know they started making them in the late 1800's.
For $17 each, a plane collector should jump on it pretty fast.
