I've never kept any of my pieces or named any. Let them gas off, box them up and out the door they go. This one I'm keeping. Not because it's perfect or has any groundbreaking work. It's plain and has flaws just like me. This is my first post cancer piece. This is my Phoenix rising. Sounds kind of corny I know but this one means more to me than all my work combined.

Supercool! Great work, great celebration!
LOML had a brush with cancer (very mild lymphoma) and I know how happy she is to be in the "follow-up" catagory.

I have always found your work inspiring. In some ways, the most inspiring were the ones that you posted where things did not go as planned.
I am really glad to see you posting turnings again and glad that you are keeping on keepin'-on.
Thank you.

Nothing corny about it, it is a beautiful piece. Congrats on beating cancer, I am a three time survivor, you just gotta keep fighting. All the best.

I know exactly how you feel. it's good to keep busy. I'm still working on getting my physical strength back. Now I'm getting cataracts. they tell me it's from the steroids. you just gotta roll with it and kick it's butt.
Looks like a fine piece Angus

It's as spectacular as your other pieces, so is that fact that you are still doing them. Look forward to seeing many more!
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.
