Brese 650-55J for sale- SOLD

[Image: 1cfa1483-183c-46cb-944e-0a4ff41a6258.jpg]I have a Brese Plane 650-55J which had minimal use in my shop.  It has sat on the bench and been used with great success to finish hard to smooth gnarly and birdseye woods. Mine has been sharpened only twice, with frequent stropping all that was necessary to keep it wicked sharp.  Mine has no deep scratches but does have some oxidation from being on the bench. I started to clean the oxidation, but felt that it would be better that the new owner clean or leave it.  I am thinning the herd and keeping only what is absolutely necessary.  If I were to clean mine, you could not tell it from new. The current price for this plane is $2,185.00  .  I can send photos to any interested potential buyers.   SOLD

The plane can be seen here.

As enticing as that offer seems, I will have to struggle by with my very pedestrian Lie Nielsen smoother (no disrespect to Ron Brese or his planes: I am sure
they are superb).

I'd love to have that plane.  Tried one of Ron's planes at a WW'ing show one time.  It was superb.  Financially embarrassed otherwise I'd have one of everything he made.
The older I get the faster I was.

That's why it's dangerous to go to woodworking shows!

It is an incredible plane. I am out of town until late tomorrow night. I'll post pictures Tuesday after work.
