Before i get the electric installed I need to decide if I am going to keep this back wall closet in the shop(aka garage). The shop space is 23.5 x23.5 plus the 4 foot deep closet along the back. I do not have to share the garage with cars or garden tools I can see pros and cons to keeping or removing the closet wall..... Keep it for the compressor and less used items, maby wood storeage or finishes etc. or I can reclaim it for the extra floor space.
Yes its a mess.... I just moved into the house not settled in yet.

At only 4' wide, it'll be like a storage tunnel, not a closet. Big waste of space.
Looks like the double doors open into it? If so, I would consider adding a wall to make the closet 8' or so long and open the rest up.
Add some shelving, use it as a tool crib.

rip out the entire wall. Or keep both ends as storage closets / DC / compressor rooms and open up the middle. A tool chest or bench behind the existing bench is very convenient for working. Walking into a long narrow closet is not.
They told me anybody could do it, but I showed them.

Yes it can... just debating if I want to put the DC at the oposite end of the shop from the door.... would be nice to have it contained though.

Good idea but a sink and toilet are 2 steps into the home in the utilities room... good to go there.

Something really liberating about tearing down a wall
Of course all of the ones I have done were the start of someone else's remodel
There is something to be said about a compressor, and the DC being in a quiet room, just make sure it's big enough for air flow around both of them. If you can cut down the size of the room, that works toward more shop space.
Worst thing they can do is cook ya and eat ya
