What does it mean when someone says "Bump"?

It moves their thread to the top of the list. Typically when it falls to another page or when they edit something that is for sale again after being sold.

Glad its my shop I am responsible for - I only have to make me happy.

It is used when a thread has gone stale, and someone is trying to "bump" it up to the top of the thread-list to resuscitate it.

The old software deleted threads after one year.

"bump" was used to keep them around.

I am not sure, but I think the new software does not delete threads.

Does anybody know?
