Years ago, while doing a stint as a Army Recruiter, I noticed a young man walking past the office with some sort of contraption on his arm. Curiosity got the better of me, so I walked out, met him, and asked what was on his arm. He had basically cut his arm off with a radial arm saw and had it reattached. The contraption was providing tension to allow the arm bones to heal straight.

25 years working in Emergency rooms I've seen a lot. Can't say I ever saw, cut an arm in half with a RAS though, usually they just lopped off a few fingers. You should have signed that guy up John, he sounds like he had a lot of determination. Gotta wonder if it wasn't kick back? Just hard to wrap your head around, laid it down there, and then pulled
