I really like the concept however it's a little on the "way to expensive" side for what it is. My .02¢ worth.

It does look very handy. I'd use something like that. As far as price goes, it seems pretty reasonable for someone in the trades that needs to haul a miter saw around. I got the Sawhelper Ultrafence used. It works great, but was spendy when new and is not nearly as portable.

If this is to be used in a shop only, yes, I would definitely buy it. If it is to be used on job sites, probably not. The only reason is the weight. I had the Ridgid miter saw stand and in my shop, it was awesome. I thought it was the best available. Then, I changed jobs and had to take my own tools to work. Loading and unloading the saw stand was a chore. I quickly came to hate it. I soon sold it and bought a different brand that easily loads, unloads and is a breeze to set up. Now, if I didn't have to take my saw out of the shop, I'd buy the Ridgid version again (only because I've used it before). The Portamate version looks pretty good as well, I'd like to see it in person.

Just talking from experience, my personal opinion only.
I no longer build museums but don't want to change my name. My new job is a lot less stressful. Life is much better.

Personally, I think a miter saw stand for shop use takes up space without a give back. I put my miter saw on top of a cabinet so I can utilize the space below the saw. The woodpecker stand looks awfully bulky. I had a Delta which I thought was excellent.  https://www.amazon.com/DELTA-36-136-Univ...pt?ie=UTF8 The saw was very portable. Since I don't take the saw  to other locations, I sold the stand. Not sure where you get one today.

Rated best, but almost twice the price

Very highly rated, and a few bux less

Bare bones best for 200 bux, silly cheap
Worst thing they can do is cook ya and eat ya

The Ridgid miter saw stand is $99 at Home Depot till 11/30.  Some stores have the AC9945 and some have the AC9946 (new version)  the only two differences are the wheels are 12" vs 8" on the 9945 and handle is different.  I have the AC9945 and love it, easy to fold and unfold and move around even with Dewalt 12" slider that weighs about 60 lbs.
