Different design: ShopVac Cyclone

This guy came up with a slightly different design for his shop vac cyclone.  With this design, the tiny amount of dust that escapes the cyclone and makes it into the filter chamber will fall back into the bucket when you shut off the power.

That's a nice, compact setup.  I have thought of putting my cyclone on wheels because it always seems to be in the wrong place.
