Own a Craftsman 113.XXX Table Saw?
#5
If you own a Craftsman 113.XXX table saw & still use the original fence, listen up.
The fence has a cheap little plastic wheel in it that rides the rail on the rear of the saw table.
If you remove the fence from the saw & flip it over, you'll see the wheel I'm speaking of. Well, mine broke & Sears Parts Direct doesn't sell them anymore.

I looked everywhere, no luck. So, I came up with a solution.
A ball bearing. Mcmaster Carr sells it under item number 6384K55
I replaced my wheel today with that bearing, and my fence is more accurate than it's ever been. The bearing itself was $9.47.

I hope this helps someone out there.

Great post, but there are a gazillion different Craftsman tablesaw with model numbers starting with 113.

My 113 series tablesaw had no wheel when it had the original fence, but it was built in the '50's.

Cheers,

My saw was built in 1984, and every saw since then takes the same wheel.
So, anyone with a saw from 1984 or after would benefit from this.

Thanks for the info.
