Very, very nice #4 set up with a new Lie-Nielsen blade to take diaphanous shavings, in fact one would need to change to the original Stanley iron (included) to take a heavy shaving, or adjust the frog.
Japaning is in the 90% range only because whoever did the blade change scratched the inside around the frog. Bought the plane because the original owner because he was frustrated with the blade change, he was so close to having it done, jut needed a bit of fiddling and now it's a fantastic smoother...
However like many in our "business" I don't need another #4.....
This could be a show piece with a little polish, and it's a fantastic plane as is!
$100.00 plus $10-15.00 shipping for most.
the LN blade is worth 1/2 of that by itself and you get the Stanley blade to boot! PayPal preferred, friends and family your choice Each blade flat and honed to 16000 mirror finish
If yo don't like the plane I'll refund the purchase price when returned, of course shipping is on the buyer.
