e-mail scam from woodnet?
#11
I got an email today from a woodnet address and it says I requested bat house plans 3 days ago.  That they tried to send them, and had a clickable link to get them.  The address was info@woodnet.(or something).  Of course, I did not click it and blocked the sender as I know I didn't order this.  Any information on this?

i expect it's the woodnet plans guy.  It's not woodnet.   Somehow managed to get all of our email addresses. As a random coincidence, I just reported one of his emails to yahoo as spam

There's little to nothing we can do about it, unfortunately. Spammers know how to fake e-mail addresses using similar domain names, false display names, etc. Best thing you can do is keep reporting them to your e-mail provider as spam.

Yep.

Have been getting emails from "the Woodnet plans guy", "Brian P".

He, she, or it is now spreading to some other email addresses I have though I have never opened, always marked as spam, if they don't already go to my spam folders, and then deleted all.

Aah well. Stupid person.

I got rid of the a-wipe for a while. He was on my google groups.
But he's back, filling up my spam box

Try going to google groups and undoing the groups. https://support.google.com/groups/answer/46608?hl=en

Then use "settings" on your email account and use a filter to block that email address.

Hopefully that will work for some but I no longer use Google.

I cringe and now use Yahoo. They are similarly leftist leaning and probably block out almost as many links that disagree with their pro-socialist BS agenda.

Anyone know of a better search engine that doesn't require constant caution, frequent disbelief, and reliance on friends to know what is going on in a specific area?
