I would follow the advice Franklin offers in this document. If the glue meets what they say, I take them at their word, use it and not worry. Fairly interesting reading, I think.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

I have used Titebond original, Titebond II that was over 5 years old (never frozen though) and it works & holds fine..
Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
