I have a lil project(
) ive been pickin away for the last month and now need to find me some hinges for the doors. I need 1/2" ( maybe even 5/8" ) wide by 1" tall. think im havin a brain fart because I don't seem to be able to use the right search term.
hopin someone can help me find a source for em, plus wouldn't mind finding some little brass door knobs. don't need deadbolts for this one, though.
any help finding a source would be greatly appreciated!
and iffen anyone would know where I could get a brushed nickel clock face thingy( yeah, ive got some maladaptive brain activity goin on tonight) about 5-6" diameter and the fixins to make it run- that would help!
hell, might be askin for someone to do the install that way my brains workin tonight!!

Tom, I've been following your build over at the Village. Very impressive. Anyone here who wants to see a real scrolling masterpiece in progress should head over to http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/22...k-started/ and check it out.
As for the hinges, you should be able to find something at Meisel https://www.meiselwoodhobby.com/Products/ViewProduct.aspx?ID=47231&Path=2980 or Cherry Tree http://cherrytreetoys.com/hinges/
If no luck there, I bet you could find them at a supplier who caters to doll house building, such as this; https://minimumworld.com/shop-by-product...nges-taps/
Good luck, hope this helps.

If you are going down a river at 2 mph and your canoe loses a wheel, how much pancake mix would you need to shingle your roof?

Brushed nickel Bezel is going to be hard to find if at all. brass plated all day. Look on the Village forum where we discussed clock inserts for vendors. They will sell the bezel with glass. They have motors too just need the correct stem length.

thanks, bill! funny how ive ordered quite a few patterns from cherry tree, but didn't even think about em for hinges. one thing stopping me there is the shipping rates they have- theyre a wee bit pricey on shipping. when I order, I usually have quite a few patterns I order at once and didn't really notice the shipping price then, but $8+ for lil bitty hinges......
completely forgot about meisel!!
and thanks for the other link!! I just might end up with some pretty fancy door handles, too!

huh!! just lookin at the link- small box hardware- now that would have been a great search term.
just some surfin this morning..yeah...brushed nickel may be hard, so im gonna have to get a lil patience and maybe even change the plan there. I was actually thinkin last night,"hhhmmm...I have patterns for numbers and some purpleheart veneer.."
I don't know how that would look on the bloodwood, though. think im gonna take a couple different pieces of wood and sit em next to the bloodwood and think about it. just what ive seen on bezels, it would be a wee bit less expensive and a little more unique making the numbers out of wood.

Tom love what you are doing. I am partial to using red oak.
here are a couple clocks I made and in this I cut the numbers. I used red oak and bloodwood and red oak and rosewood.
