Pat, you have real talent as evidenced by how exact your three pawns are.   When I did this, even after much practice, I was never successful in getting exact repeatability the way you have!

More work done. I went with sapele mahogany for the dark set. Pawns, rooks, bishops and knights done. I am now left with both kings and queens to do.
