WOW they look great.  Just what is Texas Ebony anyway?  I know I have heard of it here but just can not remember.
As of this time I am now teaching vets again.  If you have any lumber scraps we can use them to glue up to make some bowl from a board.  Thank You

Arlin, I'm not sure of the proper name of this species is but texas ebony is all I ever heard of it going by.
This stuff is magnum hard, heavy and dense

Common names seem to be Texas Ebony, Ebano, Ebony Blackbead and Ebony Ape Earrings. The scientific name is Ebenopsis Ebano.
