Antique Plane
#6

Can anyone identify this plane/draw shave?  My Dad recently passed away and while going through the garage I came across this plane and several others (a Stanley 71 1/2, 78 and a wood plane).

I assume this is some sort of draw shave.  I'm no expert on old planes so any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Oldmil

Off the top of my head, I think it's called a Rams horn plane. A type of scraper plane, if I recall.

Thanks highpi.  I assume a scraper blade would be inserted between the wood and metal parts of the body?

Rams horn as said. US patent # 723,143 granted 17 March 1903. The patent was for a flexible blade holder.
