If you're interested, there's a terrific article in FWW, March/April 2005, Issue #176 that has a detailed procedure for fitting inset doors/drawer fronts to case openings. It used to be a free article but now you have to be a FWW member to view it. You can do a trial membership, go to the library, or buy a back issue for $5-10.

3/32" is a good reveal.  Anything narrower than that you may have issues with wood movement with solid front drawers.

Recently watching  some videos the guy is a master and he leaves almost no gaps at bottoms of drawers.
