Three way switch install - why am i getting voltage ?

Yes it will work that way.  I would mark the white wire that goes to the switch on the right (on both ends ) with a black or red marker to identify that it is a traveler and not a neutral in the junction box by the light.  Roly

Would this phantom voltage keep LED lights slightly on when turned off. If so how to stop it from happening.

I finally had time to get back up there and completed the wiring for the 3 way switches (3 of them). Everything went perfect, I even managed to get it all done without zapping myself.

Ronnn - phantom voltage isn't actually there, it's a false reading my cheapo voltmeter was giving me, per the experts here on WN. Apparently, it's a common issue...
