Anybody use them? What real advantage do they bring to the job? I managed to acquire some ( 51 actually ).

These?
I even Googled "double spindle edge clamps in use" and looked at Google images, and all they had a was a pic like what I posted, nary a one of them being used? I've long wondered myself what they are for, as I've never seen one in use in anyone else's shop.
Worst thing they can do is cook ya and eat ya

Yes. An estate sale, there was 41 Jorgensen, 7 Wexler and 3 unknown as well as 10 single screw, again, Wexler and a couple unknowns. A bit of minor rust and dirt and lots of lumps of dry glue. I only paid $15 for the lot so I may have gotten a good deal on a white elephant but oh well. Almost nothing else woodworking related, a couple auger bits and a NIB Somax saw set. Those cost me another $10.

And another clue. They apparently come in single and double sizes.

I'd never heard of them before but they look useful.

They seem like a pretty clever idea. I assume they would work on most F-style clamps. I can't imagine what a person would need 51 of them for thought.

correct so you can use them with parallel jaw clamps but you have to put at least one spacer under the parallel jaws to allow space for the edge piece to be inserted and clamped

Used these when put edges on table or counter tops. Worked well.
