hi,
any recommendations on good quality edge banding from online sellers? mainly for 3/4 particle board.

the ones i have purchased so far seem very brittle. looking for tough ones (pvc?).

thanks in advance!

T- molding might work better than the glue on banding.

Most PVC edgebanding is 0.5 mil thick. It is also available in 1 mil and 2 mil. The color selection may be limited. Depending on how much you need, try a local cabinet shop. I know where I work, we'd sell you some if it is one of the colors we have in stock. The same with laminate pieces. We clean out the laminate rack 3 or 4 times a year and just toss it tin the dumpster.

T-molding is available in a variety of profiles. The most common is the convex profile shown in the Rockler link, but there are many other profiles to chose from.

Outwater Plastics Industries Inc. catalog has a large selection of T-Mouldings in PVC, metalic PVC, and extruded aluminum as well as some interesting edge banding solutions. For T-Moulding you can start with this page of their online catalog and browse forward. Ther are lots of different profiles and materials. They also sell a whole lot of other stuff that woodworkers will find useful. I've shopped there off and on over the years. They will send you a printed catalog and it's definitely worth having around to peruse through.

yeah, this site. you'll get more honest advice than anywhere else. We have no ties to a particular brand.
