glue
#12
I built my wife a potting bench 7 or 8 years ago from PT pine. The lumber was soggy wet, so I used Gorilla Glue. It was a mess, but it was an outside workbench, so it did't matter much. I wiped up the foam and reinforced the joints with stainless steel screws. It is still rock solid after years of rough use, including frequent stacks of bags of fertilizer, potting soil, rocks and all manner of heavy stuff. I hate Gorilla glue, but I think it is the best choice for this application.
