Handtools: Vintage Stanley 9 1/2 Block
#4
Here is a very nice standard angle vintage Stanley 9 1/2 Block plane; 98% japanning, all original, no frankenplane here, plenty of iron, I flattened the back of the iron and reset the bevel on my Tormek, and it pulls full width shavings just like it was designed to do; if you look closely at the pics you can see through the shavings and see the brass knob underneath. Plane is ready to go, a staple for any shop, can be yours for $38 plus shipping; a vintage block, they don't make 'em like this anymore (except for Lee Valley and Lie Nielsen, but you'll pay for them... :-) ), see pics in this album:

Here's a quick pic:

First PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets preference, I DON'T have paypal or any other EFT, so payment by USPS money order please, unless I know you from the forum, then checks are ok. Please include in your PM your full shipping address so I can quote postage and print up mailing labels.

Tools that I would own priced reasonably for users.

Thanks for looking.

IMHO, the standard angle block plane does not get enough respect. I find it much easier to get a grip on then the low angle block plane, due to the increased clearance area under the blade and adjustor mechanism. Try a 9 1/2 and you will like it.
