Great old grinder
#8
I got a call last night to come and look at some tools. Among them was this grinder, 1/3 HP and made by Cincinnati Electrical Tool Co. I haven't cleaned up yet, ought to take about 10 minutes.

It's got the largest eye shields I've ever seen, approximately 10x11 with two full size light bulbs in each.

That was made by Kingston-Conley Electric Co. / Hoover Co. - History | VintageMachinery.org and a sweet grinder it is.  Way nicer and heavier than a Baldor.  Its rare to see one  so complete.  You're very fortunate to have found such a grinder.

Thanks Bob, that's some great information. I think it's an awesome find too.  Very reasonably priced too, $75.

At $75 that's not reasonable, that was a steal and a half.
