cabinet hinge question
#5
I'm looking for a piece of hardware which may not exist. I'm building a project that calls for an inset door. The frame I built has 5/8 thick rail and stiles (thick I know, but there is a reason). I'd like to find a semi concealed self closing hinge to accommodate an inset door of that thickness. 3/8 offset is typical, and if I have to I can rout out the back of the door to fit, but for both strength and ease of installation, it would be nice not to have to. Anybody know if there is a 5/8 or even 1/2 offset hinge?

Euro hinge? They take a 1/2" bore depth, so your 5/8" frame will work.

I'm building a tilt out trash container that's hinged at the bottom with self closing hinges. Kind of flying by the seat of my pants. I don't think Euro hinges would work for design reasons. I should have gathered all the hardware before I started building, but I didn't. Rookie mistake. Thanks, for the suggestion.

Ah copy that. Tilt out. No suggestions for ya.
I'll always used the ball bearing slide out trash can units.
