John

John, Thank you very much.

No I'm not selling them. The rules of the Catholic Church and my religious order don't allow me to sell things (have a business).

They are all spoken for.  One is mine and three are for other friends.

This refinished Anco drafting table is the one I stood next to when I was about 5 or 6 and watched dad as he was designing commercial buildings, schools and the like. Thus, this baby is about 60 years old—don’t know how old it was when dad brought it home.
The top had to be cut down a bit in order to serve its new purpose and the base was cleaned up and painted.

Thanks beautiful, Gary.

What did you use for the finish on the top?

It’s got a base of roughly 1.5# cut homemade shellac from flakes and 5 coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal satin.
I may put a wax topcoat on.

Well there is stuff all over the tops like a bench so......

Those pieces with the dark inlays look familiar. Are you building TV trays? Looks like the trays from an old Wood Mag. with the inlays and rabbet for a ply center.
