Daily Bench Shot
Working on new legs for a couch that is being reupholstered
They will show so I am giving them a bit of craftsman flair to go with the rest of the house.

Lookin good there Greg. [Image: yellowyes.gif]

Temporarily lost my main bench, as the wife needed a bigger table. She's making a winter engine cover for son #2's new (to him) airplane he bought a couple of months ago.

In the meantime, I'm cutting down a small no frills cabinets I made close to 40 years ago to set on the shop counter.

I'll finish it up and maybe throw some flat paint on it later on. I'm still re-arranging this corner.

Good repurpose.
I like coming up with solutions for a more efficient shop.
Either that or I need to make room for more stuff

I need more interior walls for wall cabinets and being able to hang more shirt up.

She let me use the end of the bench today. [Image: smirk.gif]

I suffer the same fate.
I could use more wall/cabinet space.
That would really help with organizing

Eight new couch legs made from quartersawn white oak.
An example of one of the old legs included.
The old legs were hidden by a ruffle along the bottom of the couch.
New version has no ruffle and the legs will be visible.

This was taken the first part of Dec. It is to cold to work wood, but not to cold to straighten up and get ready for the first part of April. I decided to move bench from the middle of the shop to about 4 feet from a side wall.

Usually the top is not this bad but moving it took some work. The top is 4 inch thick Hickory and is 8 foot long and 30 inches wide. I had to use a fulcrum just to get it up on detachable wheels. It took about 15 minutes to actually turn the bench 90 degrees and place it where I wanted it.

PS: it has come a long way since then but I didn't get it totally cleaned of before it got to cold.
