Tilting drafting table parts
#6
I’m trying to help a friend find a kit or hardware for building an industrial style drafting table. The table top itself will tilt on the semi circular guides. Does anyone know a source for these parts?

Thanks

Does your friend want antique or reproduction parts? Here are some ideas.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B10MKDI/ref...83733&th=1 -- use the rings and knobs from a cheap table

https://www.wayfair.com/Studio-Designs-V...gK6_PD_BwE -- ditto

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Mid-Cen...SwLJ9aEErM -- wait for an affordable antique base to be listed on eBay

http://www.synergiearts.com/antique-draf...table-arm/ -- have a metalworking shop make the rings -- use reproduction knobs

To raise the table or lower it does not need any hardware.

Just take a white oak 1x2 and route a 1/4" hole thru the center about 14" long and put a 1/4" bolt with  know and you can lower or raise it from there.  I built mine like that when I taken drafting in school in the early 80's.  Also make sure you can a smooth firm rubber mat to put on the top so it makes it easier to tape the paper and allows easier marking to.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.
