Bandsaw - Lower Guide Holder Snapped
#2
Had a first today - was cutting logs into turning blanks and didn’t notice the build up of thin fibers at the lower guides - should have paid more attention. After cutting about 10 blanks, the blade drifted horribly so stopped to make sure adjustments were still good. The metal that holds the lower guides in place had snapped - must be a combination of pressure from build up and (guessing) some weakness in the part.

Saw is a Rikon 18” about 6 years old. Am thinking about doing a full Carter upgrade given my search of past discussions, but open to other ideas.
