Jointer Gloat

My new bastardized Delta X5 6" jointer.
I bought the jointer new in box at an auction, missing base and motor, for $50.

Bought an old 1980's Taiwanese 6" POS that ran just fine off Craigslist for $125. Sold the POS without the base/motor on Craigslist for $125.

Mounted the Delta X5 on the POS base, lined up the sheaves, cleaned off the packing grease and she runs beautifully. Tables are coplanar, knives and outfeed table even set right from the factory, according to my straight-edge.

It's hard to beat a brand new jointer for $50.  Congrats.
