Chisels: Buck Bros Pattern maker gouge set, Japanese Crank neck chisels, mortise+more
#11
Hi,

First up for sale I have a set of 7 vintage Buck Bros. incannel crank neck chisels ( pattern makers incannel gouges?) in roughly the following sizes: 3/16", 5/16", 3/8", 9/16", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8". The chisels are in beautiful condition, pretty much like new.

$180 for the set

Next for sale are three vintage Union chisels in the following sizes: ~1 11/16, ~7/8", ~9/16", the chisels have the bevel on the outside and have a thumbnail profile. The handles are good and sound and the chisels are in very nice shape without any pitting or major damage.

$40 for the 1 11/16" chisel, $35 each for the 7/8" and 9/16" chisel

In the following three pictures are two very large and substantial vintage Underhill mortise (framing or millwright I believe) chisels ( 1/4" and 3/8"). Both chisels have F.W.B tastefully stamped on them. The handles are good and the substantial size of the chisels should make prying with them and driving them into wood a pleasure.

$70 for both chisels

Ward and Payne 1 1/2" firmer chisel. The handle had bad damage so I repaired it with a piece of beech and blended in the repair. Good English cast steel. No pitting, a vintage tool in nice shape.

$35 for the chisel

Vintage Charles Buck cast steel 3/4" firmer ( maybe pairing?) chisel. It has UC 41 stamped by the makers mark. The chisel is a chisel that came from the University of California - Berkeley, no pitting, no serious damage.

$30 for the chisel

7 Japanese Crank Necked Pairing Chisels. I cannot identify the makers, but the chisels themselves are in very nice condition. No real faults to the chisels beside one chisel with oxidation marks on its back.

The remaining chisels are available in roughly the following sizes: 1/2", 1/2" dovetail pending

$50 dollars each

Set of 3 Fujikawa White Steel Mortising chisels, brand new, never used. Sizes: 15/32" ~ 1/2", 11/32" ~ 3/8", 7/32" ~ 1/4"

$150 for an excellent set of quality Japanese mortise chisels.

Lastly, a Koyama-Ichi white steel 15/16" chisel and an maker-unknown 1 9/16" chisel. The Koyama-Ichi chisel is pretty much new and the maker unknown chisel is in great shape, no deformed hollows. The koyama-ichi has very tiny micro-chipping along the edge, but it isnt severe and can be sorted out quickly with a medium india stone.

$50 for the koyama-ichi chisel, $50 for the 1 9/16" maker-unknown chisel.
