Another Bummer

The BTU thread calls this to mind.   Bark slid back on this soft maple, causing some excitement. 

   

When split, things looked, if possible, even more intriguing.

   

However, after sawing, this is what I saw.

   


So this and its fellow chunks will become BTUs at my house, not go to Arlin.
Better to follow the leader than the pack. Less to step in.

Looks nice MM.  Lots of stuff can be made from pieces parts like lids to boxes and small boxes and bottle stoppers and  other things like that.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.
