I put a piece of 1/4" x 1/4" chicken wire over the dust collector to keep the nut from disappearing in my dust bag.  It has saved me hours of time looking for the arbor nut.
No animals were injured or killed in the production of this post.

Glad to have helped. By the way, one of the episodes of Woodcademy TV Season two I will show how to “accurize” your stock miter gauge, including adding nylon set screws to fit it to the slot.
