Air tool oil-how much?
#6
How much would you add to your nail gun for a few nail attachments? A hobbyist/home handy-fixer, on frequent occasions I am needing only 6-10 nails and could use some guidance. For projects that might take part of a day nailing, three drops at the start is the recommendation in my manual. When I see oil in the nail guide-feed, I am assuming that only a drop or two should suffice. . .

First I use a light oil that is used for sewing machines.  Just a drop or two onto the end of the gun before you start is fine.  If you will use it a lot then put a drop or two more at the end of the day and then cycle it to get the oil into the parts.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.

No need to oil it every time its used if only shooting a few nails. Put a couple drops in every 4-5 uses.

It's what I do....

If I only shoot a couple of dozen  nails then 3 drops will suffice for a week . I would go more by the number of nails used weekly. Less than 10 clips per week , one oiling of 3 drops

In heavy use, I only used a couple of drops each day. For occasional use like some others said: every 4-5 uses.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.
