Rockler Perfect Fit Dado Jig

Anyone ever used one of these or had any experience with one of these?

Seems kind of expensive for something you could easily make or do with a clamped straight edge. And there doesnt seem to be any sort of micro-adjustment. Any thoughts?

Looks simple enough to build, and adjustable too.

This makes me laugh! I have been writing articles for Woodworker’s Journal since 2000.
Several have been jig and fixture articles. Of these, Rockler has created four products they sell directly based on my designs. I tease their product development folks all the time about it.

Here is a free PDF you can download of the original article I wrote: https://www.woodcademy.com/published-art...e-dado-jig

I also sell an expanded and updated set of plans for making this jig, you can find them in my plans store.

As other have said, "looks simple enough to build". I'm more interested in reading your article; however the link doesn't seem to work for me. (It may be because I'm still using Internet Explorer.)

Thanks for telling me! Not sure why the link isn’t working for the PDF, but I will fix it right away.

Fixed the link! here is the page link again
