So how did you do it and what did you learn? Looks like a nice square cut and more vertical then horizontal.

Got my thumb once pushing something through the blade. Only power tool that has ever bit me. Been 20 some years ago.
Guess i am comfortable enough with the bandsaw that I let my guard down.

Sorry to hear...Please make sure your tetanus shots are up to date. Any infections in the hand are important to get addressed quickly.
