I seldom come across closed threads in this forum -- at least not the ones I took part in (as opposed to another forum which is trigger-happy as far as the moderators are concerned). But I just noticed that unlike in other forums, we don't know which moderator is responsible for closing a particular thread (unless I missed it).
Not complaining about anything, just an observation about a different practice here.

Mods generally intervene when the thread gets ad hominem. Likely with a consensus of mods....

I am amazed it lasted this long..... been a long time since the mods let one run this far....
Personally, I appreciate what the mods do here.....
