Drying Apple wood?

I'm just trying to get used to all the exposure--and sun--I have now. There's a bit of remorse, too.

The cherry, due to proximity to two houses, took the whole day to remove. It took two hours to drop the apple and clean up. Solid wood throughout. Cherries around here always have a rotten core. One cavity at the base had the plastic nursery tags. I'm saving some of both trees.
