I've only been able to give a movie 1 & 3/4 thumbs up for nearly 20 years now. That is how I learned not to use the fence and miter gauge at the same time. So it happens, I am sorry it happened to you, and I wish you a speedy recovery. When I upgraded my contractor's saw a few years ago, I took a look at my son, grit my teeth, and bought a Sawstop. No regrets; it's a well-made saw in addition to the added measure of safety.
