PSA: Using a double square for layout

When using a double square for laying out dimensions on a project it is good practice to cover the dumb end of the blade with masking tape. Otherwise one gets practice plugging miscut mortises.

Could ya just magic marker one side of the square at topside, say....black.

No sticky tape residue to clean off.
