shop vac size
#3
Hi all

I use Rockler's dust right separator along with my old Craftsman 16 gallon shop vac. That vacĀ is huge and i"d a vac with a smaller foot print. What is the smallest size vac, in gallons, that will serve my needs? And is there a minimum horsepower i should look for?

Thanks

I use the 4 gallon, 5 HP Rirgid WD4051 from Home Depot pulling through a Dust Deputy.
Hose reaches to DC pickups on the router table and the band saw.
Hand use at the bench and drill press, and lathe.
Wand for the floor.
On / off switch on the wall at a convenient location.
Tucks in nicely under the power sharpener and drill press.
Everything is an easy reach.
Works great.
