Superrbowl Sunday Blue Light Special..<<SOLD>>
#2
This ia a very old scraper plane...You can tell by the mushroomed top of the iron that it has been well used and for a very long time..probably dating back to the 1800's..Body is fine Japanese Oak, in excellent condition..At the top, the iron is 5/16" thick.....iron is very hard, laminated, with a highly polished edge and hollow back..Hammer marks indicate it was forged..It has a maker's mark in the iron but it is in japanese and I can't read it..I have had it for several years and have not fettled it in any way, so the buyer may want to do that to suit himself..You can read lots about this type of plane on Dieter Schmid's tool site...Selling it for $40.00 plus $8.00 priority mail shipping...paypal only, USA sale only...Thanks for looking..
