Hello,
Thank you for looking.
I have a 5hp 80gal Curtis air compressor. It had a Wilkerson desiccant air dryer
https://www.amazon.com/Wilkerson-Desicca...171&sr=8-1
on it until the bowl ended up with a crack in it.
So, being that it is $300 to replace it with the same thing, I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on the lesser expensive models of Desiccant air dryers.
this compressor feeds the whole shop, including air sanders and spray room equipment. And, I'm in Hot, Hot Florida, so I need this badly.
Never had any issues with water coming through using the Wilkerson, so I may have answered the question, but thought I might ask you kind folks first.
Thank you,
Jody

Wilkerson sells a lot of parts, so my guess is you can get the bowl. I rebuilt some of their filters and regulators when we had a system flood.

Thank you, tomsteve. I will give that a shot.
As for those suggesting parts. I looked into that as well. The bowl is approximately $100, the tube inside (also broken) $50 if I remember correctly. Shipping and a few smaller parts adds up to some of the other models new.
If I stick with the Wilkerson it’s probably the way I will go rather than the $300 route.
Some of these things are cheaper than parts and just wondering about other experiences
