I want to ask for help

To see if anyone can make me 2 of the thin strip ripping gauges.  One for my table saw and one for my band saw.  I have seen pictures of them and tried to make them but kept wasting wood.

Something like this

I do have several 6" Starrett rules to be used for this I can send and if you would like to have a few for yourself for making this for me I will send extra.

Or this one without the mags, but it would be harder for me to adjust

https://www.google.com/search?q=thin+str...ylexO08NHM:

Or this one

The first one would be my choice but if you have something different that works you can let me know about that to.

Thanks guys

Why not make one that clamps or bolts to your rip fence and use your fence for the adjustment feature..lots simpler and just as effective....You don't even need bearings for the guides...just glue on a strip of the thin plastic they sell for use in the kitchen as a replacement for chopping boards, and use shims of the thickness you want instead of a ruler..You eliminate all the slots, wing nuts, clamps and bolts and bearings.....I would make one about four inches long for stability and support.

If you can make do with shorter strips (mine maxes out at 14") this one might be an alternative. No need to readjust the fence between cuts.

I can cut strips as narrow as 3/32". I added a hold down to keep the piece on the table.

How soon do you need one ?

Some of these jigs look cool, but I've been using table saws since the early70's and I've yet to need one. I even make my own iron on edge banding by coating the back of thin (-1/16") strips with white glue and letting it dry. Maybe it's because I don't use a guard as often as I should (almost never
Crazy ); I just grab a fresh push stick. Though I'm not suggesting anyone else do that. I know exactly why, and what happened, when my contractors saw chewed up three fingers and my thumb. Not pretty. I've been bitten twice in a little over forty years. First time I was ignorant; second time I was working too fast to be careful.

Arlin, if Bill can't do it let me know. I'd be honored to make you a couple.
