My planer isn't happy with me after today

Smirk  Normal hardwoods and softwoods, the Dewalt works fine, and has planed a ton of wood over the years. 

Looking at upgrading to one of the cheaper carbide spiral units (and a box of spare cutters) before I get serious with that stuff.

I did a spiral cutter head last year for my Dewalt....a good investment.  I haven't rotated the cutter heads yet...not sure how many board feet have gone through the planer though but it's a few feet at least.
