We have more work to do...until I find enough lumber for a project to build...
Rolleyes so...a few block planes need some work..
Cool

5 planes....counting the two from this year's sales...

Some parts were cleaned up, threads oiled, others got a new coat of paint...decided to at least get the red one done...

Sole is flat as I need it to be.   iron got it's back flattened, bevel sharpened to 25 degrees, honed to 2,000 grit, then stropped...put the plane back together

Once I got the iron adjusted for depth and lateral,
Winkgrin  and the test track grain going the right way
Rolleyes took it for a test drive..
Cool

Plane was sold by Geo. Worthington Co. of Cleveland, OH....marked on the iron as a W2200.   Seems to be a Stanley No. 220.
As for the rest of the mob..

May do one a day?   The bad one is the ..

The Great Neck knock-off of a Stanley # 9-1/2...sole will need a LOT of work..

Ummmmm.  Will update as I go along....
Stay tuned

Will be throwing one of the irons away....paper thin, stamp just says "JAPAN"....even the honing guide makes it bend.....sounds like a little bird."Cheep, cheep..cheap"

I think I might have a spare iron, or three.  Of the next 3 to work on...the 220 look alike MIGHT be a Millers Falls version....since the iron has that triangle logo.

Stay tuned....will see what is going on, after Lunch.....
