Jacoby Rendition
#11
Hello everyone! Being an artisan I'm usually juggling several projects in my mind at any given time, at this time seven. I tend to do most of my creating in my mind as I fall to sleep. Recently I kept having this image come into my mind but it was not what I was intending to make. I came to realize I had seen this piece before; it finally came to me I had helped my mentor make this piece close to 40 years ago. Rufus Jacoby was my arts & crafts teacher in high school. I would go into school early and help him make his Sterling silver pieces. Working by hand he hammered sterling sheets into chalices and plates that have been displayed in the National Cathedral Washington DC. Mr Jacoby also was known for his hand made dulcimers. So from my memory here is my rendition of the piece he made about 40 years ago

You did Mr. Jacoby proud, Bruce!

Right proud, indeed...
