Thanks. That's what I'm doing. The main problem is that the bit is so short, it gets swallowed completely inside my Milwaukee router collet. I can (and have) pull it halfway out. But that's not a very secure way to hold a bit.

Thanks to you Woodnet guys, I bought an extender. Not just for more reach, but the collet is not as deep and the bit will actually stick out.
